          Beatlejuice and Ichabod Crane

Both Beattlejuice and Ichabod Crane are both the anti heroes in their stories due to both being the central character but both lack the conventional heroic attributes of a hero. Both Beattlejuice and Ichabod both carry the characteristics of only caring about their own feelings and being inconsiderate of others.

Beatlejuice is only trying to free his ghostly spirit so that he can perform his job of scaring off the instructors even if it means making unfulfilling promises to others just to get what he wants. Ichabod as well shows that he does regard anybody's feelings, by taking advantage of families by getting out free meals from families when he ever wants. As well trying to convince Katrina that he is interested in being her husband but in reality he is only interested un her father's money.

With both of them being inconsiderate of others, they both don't get to fulfill their plan for Beatlejuice does not achieve his plan of trying to be set free and rack havoc on whoever he pleases. Ichabod does not get to become Katrina's husband due to him only interested  in his own plan, which causes him to not pay attention to Broom Bones's stories and in the end causes him to lose his life.

This shows that both of the characters are willing to give people false hope, just to get what the desire most.  Although in the end they both end up coming up short.
